Last Belmont?! where's my Whip & holy water! it would seem that there is a new prince of darkness that's in need of vanquishing!
I cannot believe that I ever thought LOS would be a return to Castlevania's roots I can safely say that whatever pathetic hope I was holding onto for the new timeline just dissapeared entirely.

It could mean last chronological Belmont. Judging by the ending of LoS, I have a feeling the last game in the series is going to have us playing as Dracula/Gabriel going up against Satan.

that seems like the most likely(and unfortunate) scenerio since Satan fits the "notorious enemy" description in the press release for Resurection.

I'm fairly certain that Cox only mentioned an interest in both Simon & Alucard, I don't recall him ever confirming they would be a part of LOS universe.

edit: well technically, in this timeline, if Gabe has/had children then wouldn't they all be considered "Alucards?"

I'm okay with Gabriel being the first Belmont, but the last? I wonder if that simply means that the story ends with him, or if it also means the Belmont lineage completely dies out. I'm guessing the latter would happen if we end up playing as Dracula in the present. Hated that idea at first, but it could be fun, I guess.

I think he's the only "blood Belmont" I firmly think that the new Belmont line comes from an adopted child (his real child would be Alucard)

Also the last may mean that he survives every Belmont descendant so that's why he's first and last

All these theories are just making me hate the direction this new timeline is heading toward. It really is just a dumb Elseworld's story.
