I disagree with Uzo.

That's certainly an interesting explanation. Though they seemed to put a lot into the whole first ending of him having repented, only to completely forget it happened two minutes later. It really comes off as a sudden reversal for the sake of a previously dictated plot point.

Mathias reveal was bad, simply bad, it's fun how almost all fans despised him before LoS and then IGA fans were GaGa saying that Mathias is now actually a good character after all the bashing, some people just don't accept change for the sake of it

Tell that to people who abruptly and arbitrarily changed their opinions about him, then. I was perfectly fine with the origin story Lament delivered from the day I first played the game. If anything, Lords has made me re-evaluate it further and it's actually looking better by the hour in comparison.

Also, I thought everyone got the insane YOU JUST DON'T ACCEPT CHANGE accusations out of their systems like two years ago.

I understand your point and I agree, but that was the intention wasn't it? a shock twist ending, like the ones the Assassins Creed series always has, a hook for players to feel obligued to BUY the sequel... and God it worked :P

Everything comes full circle

Seriously?  That's it?  I can appreciate this game for what it is, instead of dwelling on what it isn't.  But my God, this is the biggest "bait and switch" I've seen in 25 years of hardcore gaming --and now after we've paid our dues for the full experience, Konami goes cheap with a quick anti-climatic comic-book ending?  Between this and the 25th anniversary debacle, I'm pretty damn fired up.

*Sigh* It's sad to see a series like Castlevania become an afterthough at Konami and they just ignored it at E3 and payed more attention to Metal Gear and Neverdead of all games. Before we know it It's gonna end up like the Suikoden series. :(

Now that the LOS stuff is over, the question is....now what?

I know right? I'm even considering destroying my CV collection piece by piece & videotaping it in protest of Konami's shenanigans  >:(

Shouldn't Gabriel be a bit more... pale at least.  Couldn't they have done *something* to make it look like he's a vampire now? That's pretty pathetic that they didn't.

Is there ANYTHING different about Gabepire? He seems unchanged.

I like the ending. A few more lines would have been welcomed, but I found it cool. Now, let's see what's coming next.

My feelings as well. I'm really psyched to see the sequel, and considering how well LoS sold for a Cv game, I'm sure one will be forthcoming (but not for a few years)

Gabriel broke his Combat Cross. I'm guessing that means no descendants who are going to hunt him down in this timeline.
