I know its been a while, but I was wondering, just how many references to castlevania are there out there? and how many could us compile? so my submission is the "Belmont" from Rosario+Vampire manga
thought this might prove entertaining to find as many references to the series as possible

That's the only one I know, unless you include Touhou's game.

I remember that the girl in the Yu-Gi-Oh cartoon has a Castlevania poster in her room.
But I do not have a picture available.  I saw it in an episode in which she was challenged to DDR by this one dude...

:off topic:
That movie was pretty close to what I would expect a Castlevania movie to be.
I remember an early trailer even had the scene with the flying blade disc, but as a cross shaped tire iron instead. I guess that was a bit too 'Castlevania' so the changed it later.

Uh, I noticed that Moka's father from Rosario + Vampire Capu2 looks and fights a bit like Dracula. A gag was that everytime he left his castle it crumbled, so that is a pretty obvious reference.

Moka's family castle, form rosario+vampire:

Moka's Father, in the manga, who looks more like dracula then in the anime:

Romanian Valley, Soul Calibur 3: A refernce to the vampire that lived here is why raphael changed, also its location matches that of one of Dracula's Castles

Don't know if this thread was meant to include songs, but The Black Dahlia Murder had a demo, and later a song, titled, What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse. The lyrics don't reference Castlevania directly, but were obviously inspired by the series:

"Into the tower, never go, the horrors multiply
Gears can mince the strongest ones, leaving heroes paralyzed
"

Other verses go on to describe different aspects of the series.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I don't see why not. A great find at that. Why is this in fan stuff though?

In a way, I guess it would be that the people who made these things are fans of CV.
