just a window.

the way i see it, you enter through the "area doors" from the village into those small rooms, and that's that that door there is.

sotn had doors as well, that didn't lead to next areas, but were just there to block path. the door here's probably just for an effect, after all houses have doors.

Those little 'windows' have existed since SotN.  They're not paths.  They're just there to show you that there's a window there.

They had 'em in the Outer Wall of SotN, in the Clock Tower of AoS (I'm sure they had 'em in HoD too), and they definitely had 'em in DoS and PoR.

i'm not vastly opposed to it, its just not might favorite way for games to transition from level to level or scene to scene. It won't ruin the game for me or anything.

It works well for some games, for others it just breaks things up too much.

They will most likely only use it for shops or other similar rooms in the town.

maybe the houses are used for Shanoa to organized Slumber Parties!       ;D

We could then have a pillow fight minigame that rival's Tifa's slap minigame from FF7.    ;D
