I really don't know what to make of all this. It's weird to say the least that Konami pops up suddenly with the idea of "HEY! LET'S MAKE A CASTLEVANIA FIGHTER!" when they should be worrying about other things, like another 3D Castlevania instead or a really good 2D Castlevania to get fans excited (hopefully, Order of Ecclesia can do that). The most recent 2 games have been pretty bad, so I'm sure the company is suffering beause of it. They really have to do something quickly...

For the fans.  And I am not guessing here.  Look it up, they have all done very well.  And my point about DXC was that when faced with something different, they used an entirely different team.  hence me saying they will use a different team for this game.

I have wanted this for a long time.  It is a fun cool thing.  Did they make mario kart because mario sales were in the gutter?  It was a vast take off from mario gameplay, but it was fun, made just for the fans. This is just like that, an entirely different game (hopefully fun) featuring are favorite characters for nothing more than fan service and our enjoyment.

Alright then. That I can understand. Curiosity I can understand, but people who're all overly optimistic and actually looking forward to this game (for reasons other than liking it to watching a train-wreck) are seriously starting to disturb me.

I think this game looks fun as hell.  Nice that just because I have another opinion than yours I am disturbing you.  Your being just as ridiculous.

This game won't light the world on fire or save Castlevania singlehandedly, but it probably will be a fun diversion and definitely worth playing. It's something different. The series isn't going to turn into fighting games.

And let's face it, Castlevania isn't all that popular anymore. Gone are the days when the series could do whatever it wanted without having to pander to newer and younger fans. If this is pandering, I'll take it and and at least try to enjoy it. It could be worse, we could be getting a CV style RPG.  [/slitwrists]

I'm curious though. I'm gonna keep tabs and see what the reaction is when the game comes out as opposed to what it is now. I think some of y'all are gonna be flipping your opinions in the months to come. It'll be funny seeing some of the folks saying, "OMG this game SUCKZZZ!" now praising it later on.

Anyway, I think a Castlevania RPG would be a good type of novelty game. I think it would work better as a fangame, though, and Konami should focus their energies on making a good Castlevania. >.<

Judgement.. *sigh* We shall have to judge it when it comes out. I guess the title makes sense (remember the rumors? It's not ___ of ___). It's just fanservice (which, so far isn't well done in terms of character designs) but we can live with it until the game comes out and THEN we can judge whether it's good or not.

agreed, I havent' seen him promote this game once and being that he hates the wii anyway it was probably just one of those things he was forced into. I'm sure he probably was all like, well get to work guys while I finish working on the next REAL vania game OOE.
