I'm sorry this argument makes no sense whatsoever. Brawl has just about EVERYTHING that Melee had, and yet it adds so much more. How can you call a TOTAL UPGRADE to Melee the more boring of the two?

Have you ever actually played them both? The major difference is the gameplay itself. The characters generally move slower, attacks do more damage, but it's annoying because they don't make opponents fly as far. Also, I liked Melee's graphics much better.

Well, I have to say I'm not happy with this announcement. Konami is not precisely famous for making successful fighting games, and I hardly doubt a Castlevania fighting game will be better than other fighting franchises already established (Smash Bros., Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat, etc). Also, the character design SUCKS!!! I don't want to play a Sailormoon fighting game. I would like to fight with good old Kojima's Alucard, but instead we have this violet-clad, clown-looking dude. And how Simon started as Conan but ended being this BDSM warrior? Alternate costumes, please!!!

Castlevania is growing unsteady. I think a golem woman who fights crustaceans MAYBE is a neat idea, but Judgement is not. My only hope is that Judgement will NOT be the 1999 Dracula Wars game.

I don't understand.... the graphics, animation and particle effects of Brawl are far better than Melee...

The proof is in the pudding:

(This E3 trailer shows this clearly)

Lol... I guess Kirby didn't change much though.

I just found Melee's graphics more appealing. Go figure. :-\

Don't know if this was mentioned yet, but why the hell do they feel the need to redesign all the characters? What was wrong with their original designs? That really irks me.

LMFAO.  Yes it has.  Several times. (And I agree.)

I was suppose to say something profound here. I don't 'do' profound so much as ramble so...whatever. Here lies text. Congratulations for reading it.  You were as bored as I am. Seriously, stop reading, you can't be that bored.  Still here? Really?  You officially are my new favorite person and now are owed one internet cookie. Don't eat it though, it gives you bad gas.

I think re-designing the characters was unnecessary. I liked the characters just how they were, but it looks like Nintendo was simply trying to make them look more like they do in their most previous games, thus Link's Twilight Princess look.

I love Brawl, mostly the fact it can be played online, but I miss Melee's unique features like the rankings (Item Hog, All Aerial, Home Run King, among others) and several stages. Also, Brawl's Sheik is just not the same (I'm with Snake now).

The main problem with Brawl is that it has too much features for its own good (characters slipping at random times for instance). Good thing some of them can be disabled.

Maybe you could always add to your posts if you are talking about SSB(M/B) or CV:Judgment. This here is a total mess. xDp

Fools. Newer doesn't automatically mean better. The history of the CV series proves this.  :o  Sometimes older graphics are more appealing. I like the graphics of CV3 for the NES better than those of SCV4 for the SNES.

So is someone seriously gonna tell me Mario 64 has better graphics than say Sunshine or Mario Galaxy?

Pffffffft. Whateva.

You can say you like the style better, but it's misleading to say the graphics are better.

In Gimph's case, it seems he likes the style better in Melee.

And, BTW, I haven't mentioned this yet, but Judgement's graphics look more like a first-gen PS2 game than a Wii one.

Really?  While definitely not up to par with current graphics, it is certainly well beyond any gen ps2 games.
