Yeah, well.. I'd rather have a talented voice actor who's never even played a video game in his/her entire life, than some video game fanatic with little to no acting experience whatsoever.

Doesn't knowing how everything ends sorta spoil it for him?
yeah but talking about the gameplay and executed storyline, is a whole other team. so playing would actually have some value left I guess.

Patrick Stewart also does the voice-acting for the head of the CIA in 'All American Dad'. I do find it interesting to have well-known and popular actors doing voice-overs for game characters. The one thing that will scor strikes for this game in my mind is the fact that some of IGA's characters are in the game  :P Personally I'd rather this game to be a hundred percent IGA untainted rather then feed his ego so he can damage the series some more. But if it's another team then they just might (very slim chance) be able to give IGA's character more 'life' then IGA himself was able to pull off. But I will still buy and play this game. That's a fact.

POST #1000!!!  I'm finally joining the 4 digit club!:-D

BTW guys I saw this in another forum but I haven't noticed it here yet...  This is an older interview with Cox --what you're looking for is some text in the background video --and it ties nicely into the TGS trailer about how Cornell explains how the Lords of Shadow came to be...

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Interview

such was their commitment to the crusade, that their studies in holy enlightenment led them to three sacred places where the power of God converged with such intensity, that it forged a bridge between the spiritual and the real...  The founders used that power to purify themselves, abandoning their human forms and transforming into spiritual beings whose power was second only to God's.

and since when may I ask where you working on getting this extraordinary rank?
BTW your now definitely getting special treatment from me, nah never mind I'm just bitter cause I'm low on the ranking and don't deserve sh*t  :P
nice interview BTW,
I never really cared who david Cox was but apparently he's quite humble unlike other big figures who immediately believe that your inferior to them, and this interview sheds some light to how the game would play out IMO, and I like the Marble Gallery OST in the background....of all soundtracks...

I've been hanging around the Dungeon off and on since...  2003 or 2004... Definitely before Dawn of Sorrow came out...  I remember we had a topic going once about what we would ask IGA if we had the chance --and a short time later the publisher for the Dawn of Sorrow strategy Guide solicited fan questions for an interview.  I literally copied and pasted my post and it turned up in the Double Jump Guide with my "cecil-kain" alias --IGA gave a kinda lame answer though...

I like how important it is for Mathias to change is outfit, his name isn't enough because people would recognize him if he still wore his outfit.
is it me or did he actually give a history of Mathias most of the answer and not exactly answer your original question.
oh and Crisis, I'm definitely offended...you either send me your credit card number and address or I internet-sue you for inter-sexual harrasement/racism/sexism whichever pays more and can't exactly be verified but is done anyway lol.

I remember watching an interview with Patrick Stewart once, and he kept talking about how much he loved his new Gameboy.  I think the guy just likes to have fun.  Also, like previously mentioned, he doesn't need the money. So he probably wouldn't have taken this part if he didn't think his character or the story was good.  So that's a plus I think.

I wonder if we'll get that new trailer today, been waiting for it since Cox posted that twitter update.

The one with the Super CV 4 music? Yeah, that would be great. Though I imagine it showing pretty much the same stuff we've already seen. But it would be awesome to hear some familiar music... I wonder what music it's gonna be. Someone said the intro music for CV4, but maybe there's something more too? I doubt we'll hear Theme of Simon, but at the same time... why not? LoS is not in the regular canon so they can use whichever track they want. Doesn't matter if Simon's in the game or not. I wanna hear the Library theme. Or the Treasury.

Or maybe the Chandeliers, though the Chandelier theme is probably not fitting for this game, since it is pretty much a Michiru Yamane song except made before her time. I'm guessing Yamane loved it and decided to base MANY a song on it... like the Clocktower in CoD, Leon's theme in LoI, the Colossus in OoE, Wood Carving in SotN, Prayer of a tragic queen and Calling from heaven in Bloodlines... they all share a similar classic/baroque/whatever style that started out on the chandeliers level in Super CV4 in my opinion...

Though now I realise the Clocktower theme from Dracula's Curse did it before the Chandeliers theme... hm... I'm babbling now. Need to be quiet for a little while.  :-\

Anyway, YES I want the new trailer :)

Aw hell, there is a lot more QTEs than I was thinking. Damn it.

Combat still looks fun... aside from them though.

I love this trend of developers talking shit about QTEs, saying their games won't have them and then... they're there anyway. It happened with Splatterhouse too.

Oh well. Bayonetta had some too, and that was one of the finest games I've ever played, so...

I can tolerate QTEs if it's a case of "press ANY button now", and LoS seem to have a bit of that. There's also the occasional "press X button now" but at least there doesn't seem to be "press X button, then Y button, then X again, then R2, then B, then L1, then rotate analog stick clockwise, and do it within 3 seconds or ELSE". Yes Ninja Blade, I am looking at you. And a lot of other games too for that matter.

Well then, hopefully in this game, if you press X X X, Y Y Y, you will be sucked.
