I guess I forgot that fact.  Thank you for clearing that up.  I guess I was referring to Butler's brand of Scottish accent.

His brand is like Sean Connery's.

I believe Legends in fact takes place in the same universe as classic MM/X/Zero/ZX, albeit THOUSANDS of years in the future. Only series that's really separate is Battle Network/Star Force.

It is indeed a separate universe... that you can link into somehow in the MMZ Saga, which is hilarious. xD

Latest Dave Cox interview

Some tidbits I thought were interesting,

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/23/david-cox-on-rebooting-castlevania-for-a-new-generation/
I'm surprised the script brought interested people as much as it did, is the story really THAT good?
BTW I also think Gerard Butler is very much capable of faking accents like a lot of actors, so it's not necessary that his voice is obviously scottish.
My culture taught me that women are flowers to be protected and pure creatures, we are to be gentlemen and serve them. but you know what? they're *ssholes just like everybody else!

I like that they interviewed David Jaffe; nifty to see how Castlevania affected and influenced God of War.

Also cool how Cox mentioned every stage being taken from an older Castlevania, but redesigned. I can see that in many places (forests, aquatic ruins, that cool RE4-looking shantytown/village).

Medusa Head equivalents?

Oh god, I'm scared, but I'm also happy to hear I'll be threatened by being knocked off of ledges by them again in some form in this game. I wonder if Flea men will make a come back as well.

I still find it funny too how they're not saying anything about Dracula still, they're doing a bad job of hiding the fact he's in it. Anyone who doubts the Count's appearance is being fooled.

I can respect their decision to this. Franchise reboot, no mention of Drac, hints dropping left and right. Adds to the anticipation.

It'll only make his appearance that much more awesome.

I swear he's going to end up being Zobek. I will be amazed if I'm wrong though.

I keep thinking the Horse is a deity sent by Pan or maybe even Pan himself.

I keep saying it, but when the strategy guide is released next Tuesday, we'll learn whether Dracula is in the game or not. In fact, we'll learn everything about the game before even playing it (unless you avoid reading the guide...not sure I'll be able to).

In a way, that makes Tuesday D-Day for this game. The demo and new trailer is out on the same day, it seems like everything will be out around the same time except the game itself LOL
