Either way, Dracula's personality and being tends to shift between resurrections so the above explanation is more then likely~

Not really

In both OoE and the Dracula X Chronicles he makes references to drinking the blood of both Maria and Shanoa.

In all the other games he has come off as he always had except for the ending of SotN.

According to Judgment, Grant was busy rebuilding Wallachia/Transylvania

That was revealed at the end of CV3 as well. Besides, he wasn't talking about Judgment, he was talking about Curse of Darkness. To just ignore the other three characters COMPLETELY (without even MENTIONING them, mind you) was terribly sloppy storytelling.

Personally I would've like to have ran into Sypha (who would possibly be searching for an injured Trevor), Run into Grant in Cordova (and since you were a devil forge master he would attack as trevor did and realize you are on the side of good. Not too bad of an idea for a bonus boss fight in that area) and stumble across Alucard's Casket (like in FF7 Crisis Core with Vincent)

Just my personal thoughts....

what makes you think I mixed up the game he was talking about? I was explaining what Grant was doing in the time period,

If there's anything that would make me hate the classic Castlevania games, it most certainly isn't the games themselves; but rather, that ignorant fraction of their fanbase.

I really liked IGA's ideas. His concepts were pretty interesting. Stuff like continuing on CV3's story, Demon Castle War or all the other stuff he's done post SotN, but, that's where he shined the most, IMO. The execution of those ideas, into game form, they just fell short of the expectations. I think it's something a different team could've made the possible best of. It would've been cool to see Grant in CoD, or have a part of the game where monsters attack the town and you have to save and protect the villagers. Or maybe trek through a catacomb and see Alucard asleep in a crystal coffin. That would be crazy cool!

Agreed IGA's ideas are good but have poor execution. I dont dislike IGA i am simply disappointed with him as well as Konami for not giving him a good budget to work with. But since he has not given me anything really to be stoked about I am glad with this break we are getting with Castlevania Lords of Shadow.

It's not confusing. You were using Judgment's explanation to cover for Curse of Darkness's lack of explanation as to what Grant was doing after CV3 to justify why there was no mention or appearance of him in Curse of Darkness.

And on that note, go back and play CV3. It's an amazing game, and knowing the three endings should give you a better understanding of why we're so pissed that the three are not even hinted at in Curse of Darkness.

Course in hindsight when IGA presented his ideas maybe Konami refused to give him a good budget to work it because they didn't see his ideas as beneficial to the company. This of course is just my own personal speculation in regards to him not being mentioned in ties to LoS. Perhaps maybe his idea with the Alucard game fell short of what MS and Kojima had in mind with LoS and they were given the hefty budget to work it. All of this will remain unknown since there has been no official confirmation from Konami. (no answer to my email either which i doubt they will respond too) and there has been no official confirmation to whether or not IGA's new game has been canceled or put off or whatever else could delay a game from being showed at E3.

Agreed I think any fan of Castlevania would recommend going back and playing through that game so better understand the reasons most CV fans (or at least ones I have encountered) were disappointed with the story.

Course since you didn't play through it at the time of its release

When's the next event scheduled where Konami might decide to make an announcement on any other Castlevania games, or give updates to LoS?

Perhaps Dice 2009 (not sure though I only know of E3 and the tokyo game show) Im sure we will hear something during the tokyo game show but Crisis is correct MS promised more news in the near future so they may just update the site with news before the next event so it might just trickle out here and there..

Speaking of LoS

You see Gabriel get bitten by a werewolf I wonder if you will have to cure yourself from Lycanthropy (Or therianthropy) like you had to cure yourself from Vampirism in the 64 games.

I doubt we'll hear/learn anything significant until Tokyo Gameshow 2009.

However I expect to learn the status of IGA and company within the next couple of months. It's just too big a lingering question for the company not to answer. It would be insulting for Konami to ignore/deny its dedicated fans this information.

"Observe their fates and learn well."
