Not sure if it was 100% confirmed or not, but did Cox say the DLC would come out December? Cause its December now, and I'd like to see some news...
What a horrible night to have a curse!

Wait was that thing really Frankenstein?

WHAT THE FUCK.

Calm down, here's a paper bad to breath in. There ya go.

That was just one of Frankenstien's "other" creations. The infamous creature (that alot of people call Frakenstien for some reason, common misconception I guess) was never created yet. Im guessing that Mechanical Monstrosity was just a prototype.

Actually, it wasn't EVEN a creation from the mind of good old Victor Von Frankenstein. It was the creation of Frederich Von Frankenstein, the medieval grand-grand-grand father of Victor.

We have no life? Then why do you make a post that adds absolutely nothing to the discussion? Face it. Not everyone is happy with the story decisions in LoS....that's what we are discussing.

Back on topic...I wonder why they decided to go with Frederich instead of Victor. Did he even exist in the novel? I google his name and the first links that appear are for the Castlevania wiki and a DC Comics database.

OBVIOUSLY because Victor is an XVIII century character and they need a XI century character.

And no, he does not exist in the novel. Neither Igor, I must say...

LoS alone is fine, it's the future I worry about. There is potential for awfulness hidden within the minds of Mercury Steam if they start rebooting everything and everyone just for the sake of rebooting. I'm not saying IGA did it better, but at least he kinda built upon the Castlevanias that already existed, and didn't make the characters into something they never were (physical appearances aside, something LoS did to a MUCH greater extent). He also completely ignored the games and characters he didn't like, which is - in my opinion - the right thing to do.

Dave Cox admitted he has played every Castlevania EXCEPT Portrait of Ruin (and maybe something else, dont remember). Yet, he puts Brauner in the game! I don't get it. It's so random. It's not because he likes Brauner, that's for sure.

But anyway, I don't care that much. I never cared for the story in Castlevania, but it was kinda fun to be able to talk about it in a somewhat cohesive fashion. That happened then and after that this happened. And so on. From here on, I expect the Castlevania storyline to be absolutely random with characters showing up here and there, being related to each other in one game, and not in the other. I even expect IGA to abandon his own timeline now that Konami obviously aren't interested in it anymore.

Or maybe I'm getting carried away here  ;D

There was a lot of potential with the main-timeline Castlevania that they could have used, but I fear was never developed due to "suspension of disbelief" being able to overrule alot of the muckups to any logic that could have been applied. I guess that's why many other classic Nintendo games don't have hardset timelines themselves. Kinda hard to do a believable timeline with 20 years and as many games.

I still think there's more they can do with the main timeline, but an alternate universe with its own story can work too, if they stick to the main principles of the original timeline. When Marvel did their "Ultimate" universe comics they still kept alot of key elements from the 616 timeline.

OBVIOUSLY because Victor is an XVIII century character and they need a XXI century character.

And no, he does not exist in the novel. Neither Igor, I must say...

Why are you using Roman numerals? XXI would be 21 by the way. I think you meant XI :P LOS didn't take place in the 21st century.

One thing I did notice about Olrox and Brauner is that they look the goddamn same even in their original games! Mind blown.

Very convincing and reasonable explanation of your motivation.  ::)
Old timeline rules not neccesary applicate to the new one.

Technically there are humans. Going by they powers there are not. More like powerfull mages or something like that. So...what difference it'll make if they become "Dracula related Belmonts"?
what is your problem?
listen
you do not have to keep replying useing these defencive posts.
its just my opinion thats all simple as that.
like i said Cox COULD do a Vampire/Belmont type of thing but like i said no one is questioning whether he can pull it off its just that we don't like the idea its a simple as that.

you and Ahasverus  seem to defencive when it comes to LOS so just lighten up
