LoS alone is fine, it's the future I worry about. There is potential for awfulness hidden within the minds of Mercury Steam if they start rebooting everything and everyone just for the sake of rebooting. I'm not saying IGA did it better, but at least he kinda built upon the Castlevanias that already existed, and didn't make the characters into something they never were (physical appearances aside, something LoS did to a MUCH greater extent). He also completely ignored the games and characters he didn't like, which is - in my opinion - the right thing to do.
Dave Cox admitted he has played every Castlevania EXCEPT Portrait of Ruin (and maybe something else, dont remember). Yet, he puts Brauner in the game! I don't get it. It's so random. It's not because he likes Brauner, that's for sure.
But anyway, I don't care that much. I never cared for the story in Castlevania, but it was kinda fun to be able to talk about it in a somewhat cohesive fashion.
That happened
then and after that
this happened. And so on. From here on, I expect the Castlevania storyline to be absolutely random with characters showing up here and there, being related to each other in one game, and not in the other. I even expect IGA to abandon his own timeline now that Konami obviously aren't interested in it anymore.
Or maybe I'm getting carried away here
