I think that if Cox was the evil we fight we all will be thinking of the same quote from the beginning of SotN :

Die Monster, you don't belong in this world.
It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh.  I was called here by... humans... who wish to pay me tribute.
Tribute? You steal men's souls, and make them your slaves!
Perhaps the same can be said of all religion.
Your words are as empty as your soul. Mankind ill needs a savior such as you...

In truth, I can't wait for it to come out.  I found the game to be a lot fun to play and the story, while not really CV, it was pretty good.  I just hope the DLC is decent.

Two interesting tweets of David Cox caught my attention recently, one of which I could have guessed and the other ruling out one of my theories.

"@JpCVfan - In Lords of Shadow you only scratch the surface of the Castle...

"@zoranfdz - Rinaldo will remain an enigma for now...

I'm sure Rinaldo will make an appearance sooner or later.

Sounds awesome, I hope the DLC is nice and lengthy. I want to see A LOT of castle in my Vania.

We only scratched the surface of the castle?  I didn't realize. (sarcasm)  I'm happy that we are going back to the castle.  In virtually every game, we explore the majority of the castle and the castle in LoS is huge and yet we only explored a small part of it.  Even some one as dumb as former US president George W. Bush could see that we aren't done with the castle.  It's just that predictable. From the view we got when we first approach the area near the castle in chapter 5, it is clear that the castle is gigantic and there is more to it than we can even fathom.

In the context of a game, size is relative to the presented playability. The castle was properly represented within the context of the first game, and if left at that would have been believably sufficient to carry the perceptions of the player. Don't be so quick to jump down Cox's throat. It's better to explain more than enough, than to explain less than enough. The average gamer, especially new to the franchise, wouldn't have given it much thought.

With Cox saying that in LoS we've only scratched the surface of the castle, that makes me think maybe the DLC will be a pretty lengthy addition to the game. I'm really hoping its more than, say, 5 hours. With the length of the main game, I wouldn't be surprised if this DLC is long too.

Longer is better so long as it doesn't get redundant.

I'm expecting 2-3 hours max, and then the second DLC pack maybe being a bit longer.

I want this DLC to be at least 8 hours, 10 hours tops.

If its going to be that long, they might as well have combined the two DLCs and sold it as a new game.

To be fair, they packed a game and a half in terms of the volume of content in Lords. I wouldn't be shocked if the volume in the DLC was massive compared to other DLC releases. More companies should do that, IMO.

you guys are kidding yourselves if you think it's gonna be longer than 8-10 hours.

I expect it to be about 3-5 hours, not too long & not too short. LoS was too long anyway (all that "agartha" nonsense should've been cut out completely imo)

I agree with this. Chapter 2 was waaaaay too long, it's actually the largest chapter in the game, I think.
