I just had a thought today. Remember the two corpses that are seen in the ending? Slogra and Medusa. It would make sense if they were the two DLC bosses. That would make sense, Slogra could be the sealed demon and Medusa the notorious enemy.

I dunno, I can see them being in one of the DLC as new enemies but as the main threat? Slogra is a tough beast but I doubt he a bigger threat than the lords of shadow.

As far a Medusa is concerned I don't think she's notorious enough to be the main enemy in Resurrection. Her many many heads flying around maybe but not Medusa herself.

That is kind of funny actually.  The medusa heads are more of a threat then Medusa herself.

LOL Yeah

They may be mini-bosses, like the Scarecrows or Malphas. It would be cool to have more notorious enemies from former CV games!

w-wait

I'm pretty sure I read people's comments mentioning they saw her in the ending. But I'm not sure myself.  :-\

I definitely saw Slogra, but I do not think I saw anything resembling Medusa in the epilogue. I am totally not against her being in this timeline at all, the more classic monsters/iconic Castlevania enemies, the better.

Right next to Slogra are statues of women that look to have snake tails rather than legs but have horns instead of snakes for hair. I guess some people could mistake that for a Medusa looking creature
What a horrible night to have a curse!

One problem with your theory:  Cornell stated that the founders simply wanted to purify themselves and ascend to heaven to serve God directly.  The problem is that when they did so, instead of purifying themselves, they actually fractured their souls into good and evil, and while their good selves ascended, their evil sides remained in their bodies, transforming them into monsters, and thus the Lords of Shadow were born.

Then again, Cornell could have left out a few details.

You're trusting the pure evil side of someone to tell the whole truth? :P

It's possible they don't want to admit such a fate to a mere human who comes to challenge them. Or even, they could feel if they're defeated then who cares what he unleashes since they're dead now anyway.

Oooh, those things. Now I know what people were talking about. The entire epilogue felt more like Castlevania than the rest of the game did, the sequel had better capitalize on that atmosphere. It was absolutely perfect.

I agree. Provided it leaves out the modern times setting. But that church interior was the kind of lighting and decor I love in Castlevania.

Considering the overtly-fantasy, non-historical European setting (barring the jutting of gothic architecture) they had, they should really just make their own version of the present too lol.

gothic present.......

Time reaper...doesn't make any sense what-so-ever. What was IGA even thinking when he came up with such a concept?!? Time reaper? Seriously?? I guess Judgement not being cannon is a good thing if this is where CV was headed.
