Maybe a Castle Maker mode would have been the best bet. I'd probably enjoy the troll castles where they're nothing but spike traps and enemies that drop the abusable weapons.

I think Castlevania online was going to have this option, but we'll never know know.

That is great news!!!!!  It seems they worked out the problems they were having with characters DLC!   ;D

Could this mean there is a chance Maria and Richter will be ready sometime next month maybe? or a new Chapter/map?    :)

Are people still playing this?

Also, how much DLC is there so far? I'm under the impression that Konami is way too slow with this one. There should've been new DLC every month, especially in the first few, critical, months. Or maybe I'm wrong. Just speculating.  8)

Seems only Affinity and two people are playing.  Could be wrong, but over on other forums the 'fire' has died down long ago.  Maybe that's why there's slow DLC; Konami realizes there's just no money in there.

I, and a number of people I know who have the game have had the game tossed aside after Chapter 7 came out. I know I'll be back for this, if not to grind the characters out, and then doing naked runs with the characters in the game.

Using a maxed out Jonathan with no equipment on him really reminds me of the older games; hit an enemy once or twice, take a handful of hits. :P

Hell yeah I'm still playing this.  It gets significantly more fun once you get a Valmanway, IMO.  The thing is, I don't have much time for gaming at all.  But when I do play, it's either this or Halo Reach.

Well so far they have been releasing DLC every month.

September was the Stage 7 DLC.
October added Music Pack 1.

And now it appears November is adding Yoko and Julius besides Music Pack 2 which released recently.   ;D

So far it has been receiving new DLC every month and it will continue to do so.

I couldn't buy this game back when it was released. Now I have the money, I'll probably game share with a few friends to play it. Is it truly only online? Can't I play like co-op or something?

There is single player, and online co-op, and online versus.

Single player is impossibly annoying (And very very difficult) online co-op is frustratingand bad designed, versus is... you guessed it, a waste of time.
Burn those dollars or something, it's more productive.

Now that Julius will be out soon I might give this game another spin. I kinda had my fill of this sort of game with the DS 'Vanias, though. Kinda wish the resources had instead been to make a six-player Contra... now THAT would be something I'd get mileage out of.

Actually, I enjoyed the single player much more than multiplayer, until I got my characters leveled up enough to compete with everybody else online.  It's not much fun playing multiplayer when you're struggling just to keep up with everybody else.
