Try to insult IGA fans all you want, IGAtardz still sounds way better than Coxsuckers.
I think there is no need to be that childish and throw insults on all people because of their preferences or because of several "fanboys" amongst said people. No need to generalize. Those insults will not make anyone better or smarter.
If you want to know, i'm listening to almost every kind of music, so if you prefer to listen to some generic music for a horror game instead of a creapy or something more suitable, it's your call, not mine.
Since when Castlevania series become "a horror game"?
What next interesting truth you will open for us? That Earth is flat and standing on three whales? And actually, catchy dynamic tunes are bad soundtrack for anything horror.
I never said that all of the monsters are connected to Dracula legend, but most of them. Also mythological creatures are refering to history books/texts, while fantasy are made through the mind of people.
Please, give me a list of them then.
And also, you never specified "what creatures connected to Dracula", you just said "creatures" in general.
I don't like to break your world, but most of the creatures in Castlevania has nothing to do with Dracula or his legend in any shape or form. The only creature that has any connection are bats and vampires. And that's it.
Oh, and by the way, mythological creatures = fantasy, since mythological creatures were created by people in the first place. Though you might try to prove existence of, say Medusa or Frankenstein's Monster in real world. I'll be waiting...=)
They are all demons and since Dracula is the root of all evil, they are bound to him.
Mummies are demons? Frankenstein's Monster is a demon?! Medusa is a demon?!? WTF???
So, Simon, Christopher, Richter were having combo whips attacks? Interesting, it seems that when i'm playing these games, i don't know how to excecute them......
Games must evolve, it is neccesary component of survival in competetive market. Of course you maybe on of those people who things that non-text RPGs are a sacrilige against genre, but most people prefer to see their games chamging with the times. Or at least they undestand neccesity of it.
To Sumac: If only subweapons are the only thing you see on SOTN connected to the old series, then you are blind or you didn't play it at all!!! Like i said before, i never cared about scenarios, i only mentioned the scenario of LoS, because it is not something, we haven't seen in another game or movie...
Arguments!! Arguments, please.
Your empty statements, without any prove, coupled with insults, make a fool out of you and only out of you. If you have some opinion be ready to prove it or go away.
And SOTN plot wasn't epitome of originality either, actually. And I am not talking about how it was executed...
So, tell me what was the story of first Castlevania game and its differences from the third, Super Castlevania, Adventure, revenge, legends e.t.c.
I thought it was impossible to miss the point TWICE IN A ROW, but you manage to accomplish such glorious feat. My sincere congratulations. :p
And just to make things clear: Richter mode doesn't have any story in SOTN. He is just a bonus character, that was put in the game for fun. I repeat, he has no story and his adventures in the castle is non-canon by any margin. It has nothing to do with the fact that the past CVs didn't have dialogues. Those game still had stories in game manuals (if you know what it is). So, there. I think its pretty muc impossible to misunderstand and misinterpret.
They might be 3, but they are clearly noticable, unlike LoS that they are some kind of short tunes.
LOS had Vampire Killer and Waterfall theme from SCV4 as far as I know.
CV64 had Dance of Illusions, Boss Battle theme from ROB and heavily remastered Bloodlines.
LOI had only 4 melodies from the past games - 2 were merged into one track and the other two were represented by short snippets merged with the new compostions. In general it is not so different form LOS.
So, name me another game in that time period that was playing like SOTN.
Does name "Super Metroid" rings any bells?
It didn't have RPG elements, though. But I believe there were games similar in concept to SOTN at the time.
Also if only subweapons are the only tie with the old games, then Dracula, Death, Akmodan, clock tower, Belmont's
What exactly in my phrase "I am talking about gameplay, not style" you do not understand? Looks like you are troll after all.
also, i keep calling LoS having a bad story, because it was not something new and it turned the hero to the one he was supposed to destroy
you keep not to underestand that i only care about game play and music at the games.
But you don't care about story in Castlevania, so why grieving over something that doesn't matter for you? And for whatever reason most of your posts talk about "how trolls ruin LOS", "how LOS story sucks"...quite a lot of gripes to the human who doesn't care about anything but the gameplay and music?
I'm not trolling anyone, i'm just stating facts
Your "facts" lokks like half-assed gripes, which often missing the point and doesn't go along with simplistic logic. There are not "facts", there are "personal claims" at best and "fanboish blindness" at worst.
If it is about Alucard...bla-bla-bla...completely missing the point in Nth time...
SOTN is about Alucard. Richter is secondary character, that plays rather major role in the fisrt part of the story and completely disappears after the middle of the game. Guess why? Because this game is not about him. And ROB-like intro is just to setup better connection with previous titles, before switching to the completely new gameplay and visual style and completely new protagonist, who is the main characters of this story. I hope this makes it clear, but I will not hold candle to it, giving how you managed intrepret some things that people said in completely opposite and confusing ways.
