This is the guy who posted "I'm glad people see that IGN review for what it is. :)" when they gave LoS a 7.5. He can be very immature. : /

Meh, I prefer to see him as a fellow human being, capable of making mistakes. Sure, saying "clusterfucks" was probably in bad taste, but the man is just that....a man, a human. Yes, he represents a company, doesn't mean he's perfect though.

And who here isn't aware that IGN reviews tend to be low quality? I stopped reading their reviews years ago, and every time I give them another chance they confirm their inadequacy. Even so, even if the review was spot on (highly doubtful considering reviews are opinionated by nature), each and every one of you, had you put in the work to make something even half as good as LoS would be just as sensitive about it.

Speaking as an artist, a persons creation can be like their children. Criticism is difficult to take, especially when you as the creator see things in your work that others have failed to see. I'm just saying, try and have a little understanding of a fellow human being. Let he who has no sin cast the first stone.

I don't really see the big deal here. When you create something, you have to expect some people to not like it. Criticism is heavy to take? Then maybe he shouldn't be in this business. You know, if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Not being perfect is also hardly an excuse for acting like a baby. The man's an adult, he should learn to be more professional.

I don't have anything against the man, but I don't think his behaviour is excusable no matter how you spin it.

Like stanley-sama said, you have to roll with the criticism. IGN made a good point that much of the content was very derivative. Instead of being highly defensive and childish about it, he should have used that as an impetus to improve on the sequel's content. You can't just roll your eyes at everybody who critiques you.

Fortunately, Cox isn't the one that does the actual writing or even the game development, he's just a spokesman for the team.  I could care less about a game company spokeman's input on anything; often times they are nothing more than glorified car salesmen.  As such, I take exception with anyone that uses Cox's antics as "proof" of why "LoS sucks".  The man didn't make the game.

Relax. Neither me nor paulstanley said it was proof LoS sucks, nor that the writing was terrible. Besides, if Cox had little to do with it then he needn't react so brashly.

I'm not addressing any one person in here, just giving my two cents on the guy. I make no apologies for Cox...I really don't care about what he says on Twitter or what opinion he has on, well, anything.  I'm just tired of seeing LoS haters around the net using Cox as the poster-boy for all that is wrong with LoS.  It's like saying that Jerry Lambert is one of the many reasons that the PS3 sucks. It just makes no sense.

Jerry Lambert is nothing more than an actor who does commercials for Sony. Isn't Cox the man in charge at Mercury Steam? He is also credited as one of the writers in the credits. Who else should they place their blame on.

I don't think he's in charge of MercurySteam, but yeah he was a writer and the producer. Of course there's also the whole development staff of LoS you're ignoring if you just blame Cox.

True. I guess can we can compare it to the way Iga always takes the blame for the problems many have with his games. When someone puts themselves in the spotlight, all the good and bad criticisms get directed their way.

I like to blame random people.

Jerry O'Connell is to blame for everything wrong in Castlevania.

I never said he wasn't being an ass, only that since I myself would want to be given a break after saying something stupid (something most of us do quite often if were honest with ourselves), then I should give the him a break as well.
