Should Mercurystream borrow the mechanics from Heavy Rain while they're at it?  :P

I think he's thinking GoW more than anything else  ;D .

Oh you guys...

I think that if they can lock the framerate at either 30 or 60 (preferrably 60) for the DLC, it might make it more spiffy-looking.

AVGN takes a (short) crack at Castlevania Lords of Shadow

http://www.cinemassacre.com/2010/11/17/castlevania-lords-of-shadow-first-few-levels/

He's only played a few hours of it but so far it doesn't really remind him of castlevania hopefully he finishes the game, or at least get pass chapter 3.

I like most of the AVGN reviews, but this one have very little sense for me... you CAN'T judge a videogame after the 3%... it is like judge a movie after the first 5 minutes!!!

Well he said he "might" finish it to give his full impressions but I dunno if he will though.

That's the cover we deserved. Thanks.

About the AVGN review, pleae, tell him to pass chap 3, the game was not CV even for me before Cornell himself.

Yeah, but to his defense he did explained why he was doing the review. He was judging simply the 3% he had the chance to play. People wanted him to try it, he didn't had the time and did only a first impression given it might take a while for him to actually finish the whole game. And LOS is a long game.

Not that this has anything to do with anything, but I hate the Titan Graveyard so, so much. I would've preferred bottomless pits to that asshole wacky poison necrotic quicksand substance. I also love how the stage puts invisible walls all over the place on islands you can explore, but has no problem letting you rocket off in any which direction to your death if you try to find secrets elsewhere.

The first part of the Titan graveyard is one of the most beautiful and well designed stages in the game.
The actual titan graveyard... the worst stage at the end of the game.

Color palette is lovely though, very very unique, haven't seen that one in any current-gen game, and I've played lots.

Oh yeah, no doubt it looks beautiful. The first shot of the distant mountain made of giant bones and skulls reminded me a lot of Konami's quasi-Castlevania Famicom game Getsufuu Maden.

On the note about the Dracolich, I have to say it was a very annoying fight. Did not look fun to play at all. While it was impressive in scale, it was also a huge chore. I personally thought it was bad design to have save points during boss fights, a fault I saw in many of the games bosses. I hope they can find a way to shorten/quicken the pace that still manages to make these encounters memorable yet still fun and challenging. I really don't think those short QTE's to finish off enemies/bosses are necessary either, but that's just me. I like things simple.

I was going to post this in the platforming thread but I figured it would be off topic.

Very honest review, and he has some strong points I do agree with. Connecting this into my initial comment I really didn't like the titan battles at all.

Damn that is gorgeous.
