I never liked metal in my games. DMC3 & 4 did this and it comes off as super cheesy even for DMC. The first DMC had it right, a little of this and little of that. Besides the best tracks in LoS are the boss fights XD

I thought it actually fit DMC3 because of how cheesy it was fit in with the game. Of course, I wouldn't be able to enjoy the soundtrack on its own. DMC4 was just plain bad though.

I can say with absolutely no reservation that if Lords of Shadow had a power/epic metal soundtrack, I, and probably a great deal of other game buyers, would not have bought it. That clip is beyond cheesy.

Let me just take this opportunity to thank Konami for not doing this. They probably never even considered it, but if they did, whoever vetoed the idea deserves a raise and a promotion.
If I forgot "everything I knew about Castlevania" I certainly wouldn't be excited about a new one coming out now would I?

Don't you think that Lords of Shadow should have had a power metal soundtrack to fit with its epic fantasy style? Imagine fighting Satan to this song.

I like the music. Just not the Lyrics.

I just hope the soundtrack has more memorable tunes for it. I don't have to hear VAMPIRE KILLER and BLOODY TEARS but I want to hear songs that are respectable for each level and something I'll always remember. It was kinda weak to hear the Waterfall theme in 5 different levels.

That crazy metal probably sounds good to crazy metal fans, but I can't stand it.  The music alone could probably squeak by, but the lyrics ruin everything.

Judging by VGChartz, the game has sold roughly 420,000 copies, not including Japan, which totally makes it the best selling CV ever.

Actually, Circle of the Moon sold over 1 million, but VGchartz seem to completely ignore that. But 420,000 is better than most recent CVs though.

Lyric-less is where it's at, I agree.
The rocking tunes are still good though, in my opinion.

Diablo 2 had some wonderful tracks, thought probably not gothic enough.

I don't think I would've cared for it at all if it didn't have those lyrics. Otherwise, it's rather banal.

I don't think I would be able to stand the song lyric-less. I would be forced to try and take it seriously.

True, very true. You want a tune that's going to scream "Epic!" when you hear it. something to bring back fond memeories when you talk about the game with friends or fellow gamers.
