I apologize myself for the comment from yesterday. I was really upset, I mean, it was my opinion so, I don't know anything because I Don't think like you? that's even more childish. I'm sorry, I will translate everything I can :D

And in response to the last post, yes! you have all reason! all the ancient saga has its spirit, its own style and relationship; I won't like if the castle keep doesn't have a full moon for example, that kind of Cv things is what I want to be in the game, the "spiritual" stuff. Good post Giz ;)

Cv COD had a near-exact adaptation of the original castle entrance with the same number of columns and areas. The castle keep is almost the same in 3D CV's. That depends of the producer of the game I think, how much they know those little details, but knowing Kojima (Yes, I know he's not making the game but he has this kind of ideas) he will suggest some easter eggs and references to old CV's (And Metal Gear... I hope not...)

Oh fine;

If there's anything that would make me hate the classic Castlevania games, it most certainly isn't the games themselves; but rather, that ignorant fraction of their fanbase.

OK, long post;

I don't understand why people say LoS is "not Castlevania"? What exactly are they talking about? What do they know that I don't? The developers already said they're keeping the stuff they like and leaving other things out. Nobody knows what this means, yet people are already writing this game off as "not Castlevania enough". For all we know, LoS may be OMG SUPER FAITHFUL to the original Castlevania concept. More so than any of the IGAvanias before it.

People seem to think that Mercurysteam will throw everything out the window and create a game that has nothing whatsoever to do with the series. Now, what developer would be so retarded? For what reason would they remove the stuff that the very foundation of Castlevania is built upon? It's like if Flagship Studios had put Mickey Mouse in The Minish Cap instead of Link. I mean, why would they? If I was a developer with the Castlevania licence in my hands, I would put Dracula in it immediately. Who wouldn't? The only person who'd deliberately leave Dracula AND Belmonts out of a CV is - wait for it - IGA!

LoS will more than likely have a Belmont, Dracula, remixed music from the series and everything else. If Mercurysteam decides to ignore the pretentious crap that's been going on in the storyline since IGA took over, and go back to what CV is really about, i'm all for it! :D
This.

Doesn't matter which of these shots you look at, doesn't matter how many years your eye gazes back, the second the game turns on, despite of drawing for the cover, character designer, composer, the game has felt like Castlevania. Despite Iga, or sexy-asian-composer girl, or Yamane, or Kojima, or Hokkai, or anyone else, it was Castlevania

I don't know about you guys but I don't think the composer of CV is hot as some ppl claims she to be.

Imo, she looks like a 50 yr old chick no offense

In relation to the actual discussion, we have to wait for the game to hit the market to determine if it is a "CV" title or not.

That is my sig, actually. Just to be clear.

Also no, I'm referring to the vehemently anti-IGA 'ALL MUSCULAR BELMONT KILL DRACULA NO STORYLINE, 100 YEARS, EVERYTHING IGA HAS EVER DONE WAS A MISTAKE, HE DESTROYED THE SERIES' sort of bull. I've played plenty of Classicvania. CVIII and SCIV are among my favorites in the series.

But none of this is really relevant to the topic, so I'll stop talking now. I only responded to elaborate upon my point and hopefully clear up your misconception.

Soundtrack, style, atmosphere, presentation of most of the environments that we've seen, replacement of the gothic-horror setting with what appears to be nothing but a ripoff of basic western fantasy, etc.

That is, with what we've seen thus far, anyway.

Yep. In fact, the whole Abandoned Castle, with the exception of a couple areas, is a good 3D remake of the original castle from CV. I always wondered if the Abandoned Castle in CoD was supposed to be Drac's castle from CV3...but that castle was destroyed so I dunno.

Needless to say, the Abandoned Castle is my fav area of CoD. It was a great way to start off that game...fresh and new, but nostalgic at the same time.
